In relation to the Legal Highlight sent about the Ministry of Health’s decree dated May 14th, 2020 said authority issued an amendment published today in the Federal Official Gazette.
With such the second phase of the reopening plan is modified by clarifying that the general preparation actions to restart shall be determined by the Ministry of Health, deleting the reference to article 4, second paragraph, same that stated that the new essential activities would resume work on June 1.
Additionally, changes are made regarding the inclusion of construction, mining, and manufacturing transportation equipment as essential activities, clarifying that these must, within a period that will start on May 18th, 2020, submit and wait for approval of sanitary security protocols, according to the applicable guidelines. The companies that conclude and obtain approval before June 1st, 2020 may begin operations in advance. The decree foresees that the companies that generate a risk to their employees’ health will be closed and refers that those of the automotive and auto parts industry shall also apply the protocols of their country of origin.
